What we collect
When you use AuditCrawl, we collect the following information:
- Website URLs you submit for analysis. We crawl these URLs using our automated crawler to generate your SEO content strategy report. The crawled data (HTML content, page titles, meta tags, response times) is stored temporarily to generate the report and then associated with your report record.
- Payment information. Processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with your email address and a transaction reference.
- Email address. Used to deliver your report. We do not sell or share your email with third parties.
- White-label branding settings. If you upload a logo or configure brand settings, this data is stored in your browser (localStorage) for the free tier, or in our database if you have an account.
- Usage analytics. We use privacy-respectful analytics to understand how people use the site (pages visited, features used). We do not track individual users across the web.
How we use your data
- To generate and deliver your SEO content strategy report
- To process your payment via Stripe
- To send you the report via email
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
AuditCrawl uses the following third-party services that may process your data:
Data about websites you audit
When you submit a URL for auditing, our crawler visits publicly accessible pages on that website — the same pages any search engine or visitor can access. We do not access password-protected pages, private APIs, or any data that isn't publicly served over HTTP/HTTPS.
The audit data (page titles, meta tags, response times, etc.) is stored in our database as part of your report. Reports are accessible via their unique URL. You can request deletion of any report by contacting us.
Cookies
AuditCrawl uses minimal cookies: session cookies for authentication (if you create an account) and Stripe's required cookies for payment processing. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
Audit reports are retained indefinitely so shareable links continue to work. Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting regulations. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
